* Providing informative and illuminating networking events

* A unique forum for identifying cross-industry potential for exploitation of techniques, methodologies and technologies

* Instigating task forces set to deliver on standards and other key issues raised and agreed by the community

* Working closely with the regions to help set up best practice communities and develop skills, talent and inward investment

* A communications and funding point of access to finance, industry and government

* Working with educational establishments to ensure that skills and educational needs are met
