Who Can Join?

Anyone who has an interest or involvement with Serious Games can join, whether as an organisation or individual, from anywhere in the world.

As a membership association, our focus is on the business and commercial interests of the Serious Games space.

We have 2 major categories: Individual Member and Full Member, plus a Network Affiliate category that allows us to build bridges with other associations and academic institutions that help the interests of the Serious Games and Innovation community of angils.

Types of Organisations to Join

Organisations join from the following categories that include, but are not limited to:

Software tools and services organisations

Trade bodies and educational establishments

Individual Members

You are practioners and visionaries in Serious Games and innovative techniques and technologies who want to learn more, explore the wider issues and understand the opportunities resulting from convergence between the entertainment and knowledge industry sectors whilst participating in the community and its goals.

Fees for European-based professionals are £35 + vat per annum

Fees for professionals based in the Rest of the World reflect the reduced ability to take advantage of some of the benefits, and so are £18 per annum (approximately $35 USD on current exchange rates).

Full Members

There are 2 categories for Full Membership, dependent on size of organisation. Please note the category that you belong to.

1. Innovative organisations with under 25 employees. As agile specialists, you contribute to new development and creative thinking, shaping the opportunities that arise from serious games.

Fees are £380 / E550 + VAT per annum. (If based outside of Europe then fee is on application).

Benefits are:

2. You have 25+ employees. You are typically looking to leverage the opportunities presented by the newly emerging space and network with suppliers, commissioners and visionaries.

Fees are £1500 / E2165 + VAT per annum. (If based outside of Europe then fee is on application).

Benefits are:

Invitation to contribute to all task forces and working parties on special projects (e.g. emerging standards in games-based learning)

You are trade bodies and educational establishments that benefit from having reciprocal links with angils. Please contact us directly to discuss this membership option.

Basic Terms & Conditions

All fees are revised annually when the next year’s fees are due. Organisational membership renewals are based on the prevailing size of the applicant. We reserve the right to amend membership benefits, fees and categories at any time. Any changes will be communicated in a timely fashion by email to the main contact as given on the application form. The applicant accepts responsibility for ensuring that they read the communications sent. All fees and discounts are fixed until 31st Dec, 2008. Payment is made in full by cheque or online or by BACS/ IBAN. Organisations applying for membership must pay in full within 14 days of date of invoice. An applicant becomes a member when payment is made in full and the monies have cleared. No refunds are due for whatever reason. We reserve the right to decline membership without providing a reason. The Advisors makethe final decision on acceptance of organisational members.
